Arcosa Marine manufactures box and rake hopper barges. A box barge has a flat front where as a rake barge has a slopped front. Hopper Barges can be an open type for transporting coal and steel, or they can be covered with Arcosa Barge Covers for transporting the grain that feeds the world. Introducing the Arcosa Marine COB-70 Container on Barge Hopper Barge. With a size of 200′ in length x 70′ in width the COB-70 has the ability to carry 224 TEU (20′ containers) or 112 – 40′ containers. Two standard hopper barges would only be able to carry 144 TEU which is 35% less than our COB-70. Download our Brochure for further information.
